Kraken Scales - Hand Satin DLC

The Satin DLC titanium scales were inspired by some watches and Apple watches' black titanium. After a lot of testing, we found a certain grit of sandpaper to make this satin on titanium have detailed fine strip lines. After the DLC coating, those lines will be the perfect embellishment on the nearly mirror black titanium scales. Just like those fine classic watches.

DLC in Piratech Standard, we call it 'Stubborn DLC'

• Ware and corruption resistance

It's been tested that the TC4 titanium, which is at around 32-36 HRC, can withstand scratching multiple times from S90V at around 61-62 HRC cutting edge after being coated with this Stubborn DLC. (See video.) (The Video is just for testing; please do not do this at home on purpose.)

• Thin coating film

The DLC film is around 2 μm, thinner than most of the DLC on the market. The thinner it could get the more detail of the substrate could show. With this Stubborn DLC, we could make the blast titanium scales show almost the same color as it before coating.

• Light-black color

The color of this DLC coating is a bit like light gray to light dark. It's not completely black but with some transparency which makes it look more gorgeous than total black.
